Here are some common questions we hear from guests!

Do I save money by booking direct?
Yes — you avoid platform service fees and receive our lowest rates. Returning guests receive an extra discount!

How many does the lodge sleep?
Up to ~35.

Do you allow weddings?
Yes! The lodge allows weddings and there are no extra charges. 

Do you allow special events?

Yes! The lodge allows special events. Up to 50 guests can attend the event at the Lodge but only 35 may stay overnight.

When do I receive the door code?

You will receive an email with the door code the day before your stay.

Can I bring a boat or rent a boat?

Yes, you can bring your own boat, and we have plenty of room for boat trailer parking. If you would like to rent a boat there are multiple boat rental places nearby (Smoky Mountain H20 Sports, Mountain Cove Marina and Douglas Lake Marina to just name a few).

Do you allow pets?

No, even though we love our furry friends we do not allow pets.  There are multiple local pet boarding places if you need to board your pet during your stay.

If we have family members with mobility issues, will they be able to reach both floors of the Lodge?

Yes, we have a small ramp to the first-floor deck and a large ramp that goes to the lower level for people that cannot do stairs. There is a master bedroom with an attached bathroom on the 1st floor.  You can also drive people down to the lake and drop them off if they do not want to do the steps.

Will the dock be floating during my stay?

Douglas Lake water level is controlled by the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) and is lowered in the winter to help control flooding. It is normally kept at full pool Memorial Day- Labor Day.  The dock will usually start floating in April and will not be floating by mid/late September. 

What is the check-in and check-out times, and do you allow early check-ins?

Check-in time is 4 PM EST and check-out is 10 AM EST. If we do not have a guest that is checking out on the same day as your check-in we try to accommodate early check-in requests.
